Everyone is doing a nice job writing down their ideas and thoughts in this blog. I want to remind everyone that when you put in a name INITIALS ONLY PLEASE. Also, a blog isn’t just a place to write down YOUR thoughts, but you can also question, comment or add to other people’s ideas. Sometimes we write things and they are clear to us, we understand what we want to say, but others aren’t quite as sure…..If you think something is unclear in person’s entry….Address them by using their initials, a quote of what they wrote and then write a question about what they said….that way we can all work on writing clearer thoughts that everyone can take a part in

The Devil’s Arithmetic by Jane Yolen is a story about a teenager, Hannah, who cannot stand hearing and practicing Jewish traditions and rituals. During the family seder, she is chosen to go and open the door to allow the Prophet Elijah in and is swept back into time to the 1940′s. She stands among many who are persecuted in the confines of a Nazi Concentration Camp.
